Fun with DSP

Hi All. With the special on DSP that ended today, I decided to focus my stamp club projects for the weekend around DSP. First up is a fun little 3D item made with the Raspeberry Tart papers. When I was checking out the latest creations from my blog group members I saw this idea on Heidi’s blog. Here it is!

It’s a strawberry! Sorry this isn’t the best picture! I think it’s such a cute idea and it would make a really cute table place setting with a little treat (think strawberry chocolate) inside. I do know that some of the girls found it a bit frustrating to put together, but I think all in all they liked the idea. You can find the template for this little strawberry here.

The second project is the COOLEST idea EVER! It’s DSP bows! Look;

The ones pictured here are made with the Pink Flamingo (left and right) and Haiku (centre) papers. I found the idea while trawling the Splitcoast stampers resource section for fun ideas for using DSP. The tutorial can be found by clicking here. The tutorial gives you the dimensions to make the largest bow (shown on the right) but if you scroll down to the comments section at the end of the tutorial you will find the dimensions for the mini bows. Isn’t this the bext idea! It allows you to coordinate your present and card perfectly and if you are a major DSP hoarder like me – it’s a great way to use up some of your stash! You can make 2 large bows per sheet of DSP and I think around 6 small bows from one sheet. Inexpensive and fun!

We also made a card, but I will save that for tomorrow, so be sure to check back in to see that!

Just a quick note also to let you know about this weeks Deal of the Week. It’s on (drumroll please)…… 5 stamp sets!!! And up to 50% off each!
