Time for one more sketch?

Ok. Final post for now. I LOVE reading Lauren Meader’s blog. She makes the most amazing projects and keeps me entertained with her chatter about her craft and her everyday life This is the first time I have had a play with one of her challenges and it was FUN! Here is the sketch for this week;

Cool sketch, huh? I knew I wanted to use Great Friend for Lauren’s sketch as she LOVES butterflies. Sorry Lauren, I didn’t incorporate purple as well! Okie dokie here’s my take on the challenge;

I used the Urban Garden DSP so i went with the colour scheme from the papers – Kiwi Kiss, Basic Grey, Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy.  The butterflies are stamped in Baja Breeze and cut out with the wings popped up. The bow is vanilla taffetta with some grey taffeta tied around the knot. The greeting is stamped in Basic Grey on Very Vanilla cardstock and punched out with the small oval punch. I have free hand doodled a border around the oval with the Basic Grey marker. Here’s a close up showing the dimension on the butteflies and the ribbon;
